Everett Public Schools AVID Program

Jeanne Willard, Director of College and Career Readiness and On-time Graduation for the Everett Public School District (and fellow Rotarian) joined us to talk about the Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) program.  Joining Jeanne, were the principals of both Jackson High School and Heatherwood Middle School, two AVID classroom school teachers, and four AVID students.  Jeanne talked about the what AVID is and its goals.  Each of the students then explained the importance of program to their education and personal lives. Our Rotary Club looks forward to continuing to support the AVID program in our schools!
