Marine Corps Major Aaron Tyler was our speaker at this week's meeting.  Aaron enlisted in the Marines and later became an officer after obtaining his degree.  Aaron discussed some of his leadership "learnings" and how he applied them with his troops when he was in Afghanistan.  Aaron is now off active duty and with the Marine Corps Reserve, and is presently pursuing a graduate degree at the UW Foster School of Business.  Aaron shared some of his work on a data analysis project, with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, studying gender and ethnic enrollment trends in higher education institutions across the U.S.
