Due to the Covid pandemic, this year's Gift Box Packaging Party for Our Military in Iraq will be a bit different, with masks and social distancing, but the impact will still be the same.
What: Packing gift boxes for our peacekeeping troops in Iraq in collaboration with the RC of Duvall.
Where: Mike and Patricia Chapman's barn in Duvall. 14244 Main St. NE, Duvall. (SR203 or Carnation-Duvall Rd.) This is a large heated space with enough room to support social distancing while packing up the boxes.
When: November 11 (Veteran's Day) at 6:00 PM
Why: So many reasons - support the RI mission to promote peacekeeping, support the men and women of our Armed Forces, commemorate General Hathaway's career of service in the military and Rotary, strengthen our bond with fellow Rotarians and the Duvall club.
Details: We will be packing 65+ gift boxes to be shipped to a unit in Iraq to arrive before the holidays. The event will be compliant with the COVID restrictions - distancing and masks worn. After the event hot dogs, apple pie and adult beverages will be served.
